What is covered in the Initiates Series?

* Master your flow while hooping on the waist, hips, hands, legs and shoulders!

 

* Take your Hooping up a notch to performance quality Hoop DANCING

* 6-12 Intermediate level tricks; depending on how quickly you all progress!

* Strengthening; we will do squats, lunges and arm movements (all while hooping!) to strengthen and prepare our bodies to flow into all the delicious movements in hoop dance!

* Advanced dance techniques, combos and beginning choreography!

 

 

Specialized Techniques covered in this series:



* Economy of Movement: Ever notice how a skilled hooper looks like they are barely moving? This is economy of movement.


* Split Awareness: The ability to do one thing with your body while you do another thing, often opposite and even in different rythms, with your hoop. Achieved by cultivating the ability to adjust your focus between two separate goals. Ie; leaping while simultaneously moving the hoop up to your shoulders. This skill is ESSENTIAL to truly dancing with your hoop!


* FLOW The sensation of effortlessness, no mind and pure joy while in motion. All movements are easier and more enjoyable when you are in this state!

The great benefit of the 6 week series format is that you will have plenty of time to integrate each new skill and movement, bond with your fellow hoopers and work out the kinks. And by committing to a course of action (in any subject) for a set period of time, you open the door to transformation and unparalleled growth!
